We are working with an award winning independent Opticians based in Loughborough, Leicestershire to hire a full or part time Optical Assistant to join the team.

This is a fantastic practice offering a welcoming working environment with a friendly patient base.

Optical Assistant – Role

  • Working between two practices which are close by
  • Single testing
  • 2-3 people in each practice
  • Award winning within the industry
  • Long serving team
  • Mainly private patient base
  • Non pressured environment
  • 30-45 min tests
  • Range of designer brands
  • Essilor and Hoya lenses
  • Involvement in dispensing, pre-screening, admin, social media and training
  • Full or part time – 9am to 5.30pm (4pm on a Sat)
  • Regular Saturdays
  • Salary between £23,000 to £26,000 plus bonus
  • Free parking
  • Opportunity to do the Dispensing Optician course in the future
  • 45 min lunch
  • Sundays and Mondays off

Optical Assistant – Requirements

  • Recent experience of working within an Opticians - 2+ Years
  • Exceptional levels of customer service
  • Willing to assist in all areas of the practice
  • Maintain the excellent reputation the practice currently has
  • Own car – able to commute between the practices
